Some games I've played/ran and enjoyed doing so!.
Roll for shoes is my go to one shot system now. Built around 6 simple rules and a extremely easy to get d6 system, it is perfect for when I need to set up a quick one shot with limitless potential. Say what you do. Roll your dice. Crit? Gain more skills. I've ran this system in a variety of settings but have had the most fun playing into an Ocean's 11 style heist vibe.
Before Colostle I had yet to try a solo journalling game, and I was a skeptic. Just how much could pages and playing cards pull out of my silly brain? Turns out a whole lot. The whimsical feel of the source setting (a giant castle, patrolled by slightly smaller castles, where you can befriend little sentient castles) had my cogs turning and before I knew it I had put together a little saga in no time. Every pull of the card feels like epic coincidence and can really put a chaotic mind into a context that screams PEAK CINEMA.
World Building? Hell Yes. I played this one with my wonderful girlfriend, challenging ourselves to make a chaotic and connected world with an Ozian whimsy. Rolling on the different tables we were happily dragged through the geography, politics and history of wacky worlds that didn't exist until one of us would blurt out an excited suggestion. A city torn apart by the worship of the sea, Guerilla warefare between a nation of bunnies and a mysterious "Bandit City". This system looks like it would be great for serious world building efforts too, but is 100% suitable for whimsy.
